Meh-meh

Happy meh-meh year everyone!
Hope everyone had a great one, feasting on those cny goodies and collecting loads of angpows :D

CNY, this year, was something that I looked forward to. Not because of angpows, goodies or to dress nicely, but because it's finally rest time for me. Early Feb till CNY was purely school and work (events and shoots) every single day, including weekends. When I was off-duty, I had to rush presentation slides and get errands done. Exhausted max. And few days ago, I was unlucky enough to catch the fever bug :/

But still, I had a great one with my loved ones and even managed to go for a short getaway in Desaru, Malaysia :)

Count my blessings

What will be will be. Whoever that is no longer part of my life has since left. No more crying over spilled milk. The end.

Now in this transitional phase of 2015 (it's still considered 2014 under lunar calendar), I often find myself reflecting and appreciating the changes in my life. Not to forget, to thank those that stood by me all these while.

Start of 2014 was a downhill for me. Felt like I was on an emotional roller-coaster ride and it was definitely a toll on my mental health. Thank goodness it's all over. Mid 2014 was a mixture of uncertainty and anticipation. Being an eager explorer of the multiple dimensions of my new life and seeking a slight bit of serenity, I was astonished and yet confounded.

Count one's blessing; I had all these people (and many more such as Marcus, Vincent etc) to catch my fall and witnessed how I got up on my both feet, with endless encouragement and support. I'm not a good speaker or writer and I may not convey my thoughts accurately with the right vocabulary but I believe I could still say this right:

I'm deeply grateful for every single one of you in my life. All those endless love and concern, continuous encouragement and support that you guys had given me. Thank you all.

Special thanks to my family. My dad's words have become the strongest motivation for me to move on and it will always be etched in my head. I will never forget those words that always wet my eyes. And my mum, watching her cry hit me hard as I know I have caused my loved ones to worry about me and I got to stop being such an unfilial daughter. Last but not least, my brothers who showed concern by giving me pats and have occasional small talks with me. I hope I'm not too late to say I have finally understand the love my family has for me

And just like a rainbow after the rain, there's always a good thing after the pain.

For that, Mr. J appeared :)

Xmas 2014 // Nivea girl

Merry Christmas and Happy Boxing Day!

Hope you guys had a wonderful xmas this year. I know I had a great one. Instead of cooping at home this year, I had attended 2 gatherings from J's side. Warm and cozy, with adorable kids running around and a spread of food on the table.

Decided to take part in Nivea's campaign for the look out of #theniveagirl since I got this handy pack of the cleansing wipes for myself recently. I am really amazed at how easy it could remove my make up and yet doesn't hurt my sensitive skin. What's more, it's light! Easy for me to bring out everywhere anywhere. Highly recommended by me! #niveasg

Soon, New Year is coming in a few days time. Have you guys come up with your new resolutions? :D

"Life is like a box of chocolates"

In a box of chocolate assortments, we would definitely like some and not the others, but somehow we will still polish them off. Just like how we would have good days and bad days. No matter how much we dislike those bad days and pray they will never be back, life still goes on and we will still find ways to get past those horrible days.

Have been spending my past three days at home, reading. It's therapeutic and I can't seem to stop myself each time I start on a book. So far, two books down in just five days..

For some reasons, I haven't been feeling happy recently and that makes me cherish my reading time more because it serves as an escape from my problems. Don't have to think of anything else and just focus on the storyline.

Maybe I need to get out of my house and lighten up my mood with the help of the pretty xmas lightings and decorations :)

Taken at Gardens by the Bay..
This has the postcard feel right? :D

Itacho Sushi

Dessert Bowl
Finally got to try these desserts after reading the reviews online. The durian mousse is really damn good! Worth the try!

Taking a short break from mugging for my finals which is going to start from tomorrow onwards :(

Can't believe how time flies man. In the blink of an eye, this semester is coming to an end. Don't know if it's due to the final year syndrome or what, I kind of started appreciating my NUS life and have mixed feelings whenever I think of graduation. Also, I truly enjoyed what I had in this semester, except for my Mondays' schedule (Monday became my most hated day of the week because I had 6 hours of Economics classes back to back from 9-3pm). Or probably because of that one major change in my life that reduces my worries and unhappiness to almost nothing, and that I have learnt to be grateful of those that existed in, or newly became part of, my life whom boost the happiness level in me. I just can't wait to go on to my final semester because I know it would be the least stressful semester in my entire 4 years in NUS and I will be enjoying the last bit of my undergraduate life.

But for now, I can't wait for 2 dec to come!
Can't wait to eat more good food, settle few personal matters and hopefully exercise soon! :)

Review on Colgate Optic White products

To mark the end of my Colgate Optic White Dazzling Star Search journey, a review of the products is a must! I hope this review is useful, so here goes:

P.S. This set of review was completed in July, however due to internal requests, I was not allowed to post it till the management gives the green light.

Colgate Optic White Toothpaste

The must-have substance when brushing our teeth! This powerful substance is essential for our set of bright and white teeth and what Colgate Optic White Toothpaste could help us with is to get one shade whiter teeth after just one week. Amazing isn’t it! Just by brushing your teeth at least twice a day, with the correct brushing techniques and your teeth will be one shade whiter :D Not a difficult task to achieve optimal results ^^

When used regularly, Colgate Optic White Toothpaste could help to fight cavities, protect enamel, remove plaque and freshen breath. Also, it has Whitening Accelerators (silica and pyrophosphate) to safely exfoliate stains and polish teeth surface.

It comes with 2 flavours – Sparkling Mint and Dazzling Mint. Sparkling Mint gives a milder peppermint flavour whereas the Dazzling Mint, a new flavour, gives a cooler peppermint flavour. I’m currently using Dazzling Mint and the taste of the toothpaste is just nice for me :) However, if you are unsure whether you can handle a strong toothpaste taste, then I would recommend you to start off with Sparkling Mint which many has reviewed for having a lighter taste.

Colgate 360° Optic White Toothbrush

Helps to whiten teeth in two ways via the whitening cups and the polishing bristles. The whitening cups are soft rubber cups designed to hold toothpaste so to effectively remove surface stains for a whiter smile, while the polishing bristles help us to achieve whiter teeth by polishing away surface stains and clean hard-to-reach areas. Also, with the 360° function, our cheek and tongue are also taken good care of during the daily brushing routine :) Before using the Colgate 360° Optic White Toothbrush, I wasn’t very concerned with the type of toothbrush that I used as long as I have a tool that I can use to brush my teeth. But ever since I used this toothbrush, I realised the importance of choosing a good toothbrush because it can help to reach out places that are hard to reach and clean them thoroughly to remove stains! So do choose your toothbrush wisely for it matters when comes to a whiter smile! :)

Colgate Optic White Mouthwash

I’ve never tried mouthwash before so when I told my mum that I was going to try this product, she gave me a negative response and kinda hinted me that I will regret trying it. Hmm… Despite that, I went ahead and tried the mouthwash and I like it! I find it especially fun to gargle but I have to admit that gargling it for 30 seconds was too tiring for me haha. As for the taste, it was alright for me because I like the peppermint taste but it may not be suitable for those light taste lovers. Also, for my case, the mouthwash “sting” a little when I first used it, but I got used to it after few days. Perhaps, this “sting” thing is what my mum was trying to warn me haha. In case you all didn’t know, this product has a special formula to maintain the natural whiteness of teeth and when used reguarly, it can help to prevent stain build-up. In addition, it keeps our breath fresh longer! :D So with all the benefits mentioned here, I highly recommend you all to try this mouthwash offered by Colgate!!!

Personally, I fell in love with the Colgate Optic White products and they have brought about effective results for my teeth. I had friends complimenting about my whiter teeth now, even when I didn’t do anything else but simply by using the above-mentioned Colgate Optic White products. So if you all would like to have effective results, do use the whole series of products daily and regularly!
